GOLDEN, Colorado – June 24, 2010 – Unisyn Medical Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of diagnostic ultrasound transducer repair, today announced the launch of its probe Conversion™ program. Radically departing from the traditional model of ultrasound probe repair, Unisyn’s Conversion™ provides customers with low fixed-pricing, zero day repair cycle-times, and premium quality probes backed by an industry leading 6-month warranty. In simple terms, Conversion™ offers customers high quality replacement probes at the repair price. Unisyn will showcase this new program at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Conference in Tampa, Florida from June 26-28, 2010.
“Unisyn’s mission is to apply our proprietary technologies to come into full alignment with our customers. Conversion™ does exactly that. Today’s in-house clinical engineering groups demand the highest quality ultrasound probes, immediate availability and predictable pricing. Conversion™ addresses all of these critical value points,” said Jeff Soinski, Chief Executive Officer.
“Unisyn invented the retail probe repair business. It’s only fitting that we’ve now reinvented it. Conversion™ is a natural evolution of our extensive proprietary probe test and repair technologies. Conversion™ works at Unisyn because we can repair damaged probes over 90% of the time and because we can interrogate nearly every probe in the installed base using our patented FirstCall aPerio™ system,” adds Christopher Cone, President and Chief Operating Officer.
Unisyn Medical Technologies is an established leader in the testing and repair of ultrasound transducers. Through its legacy company Sonora, Unisyn is the inventor of the FirstCall™ transducer test device. FirstCall™ is the standard for ultrasound probe testing and since its introduction has been used to test more than 500,000 probes. Unisyn has repaired well over 40,000 ultrasound probes since introducing probe repair to the end-user market in 1996.
