MR-CT Field Service Engineer II / Boston Area

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install new equipment at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimum support
  • Provide preventative maintenance on systems
  • Provide ongoing telephone and email-based technical support 
  • Work with territory salespeople to identify, contact, and assist with presentations to potential service customers
  • Pass sales leads on to sales representatives and help close business
  • Assist in recruiting and mentoring other FSEs
  • Other duties as necessary

REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline; electrical, biomedical, or computer engineering preferred
  • Military electronics background desired; Associates (AA) Degree acceptable with direct experience 

Experience

  • 3+ years of diagnostic imaging field service experience with Siemens, GE, Philips, Toshiba, Hitachi, Fischer and/or Hologic equipment
  • 5+ years of direct field service experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 and FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) quality control guidelines 
  • Working knowledge of field service software systems

Travel

  • Valid driver’s license and solid driving record for a minimum of five years 
  • Willing and able to undertake day travel up to 75% of the time
  • Willing and able to undertake overnight travel on short notice up to 20% of the time

Competencies

  • Proficient with MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Clear, professional verbal and written skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills and proactively solve problems
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work with customers

  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds
